Hello, welcome to my online portfolio! My name is Olivia, and I’m a children’s book illustrator based in South Wales. I recently graduated with a degree in illustration from the University of South Wales, and I’m now excited to begin my professional journey in illustration!

 

    I am a digital illustrator, creating all of my work using Procreate on my iPad. My style is warm and whimsical, designed to evoke feelings of cosiness and comfort. I love stories that are centred around nature and fantasy, often featuring animals, magic and an overall sense of childlike wonder. 

    

    Whether it’s illustrating stories that can help children navigate tricky feelings and situations, or simply a fun story about a silly adventure, I aim to create illustrations that make young readers feel safe and inspired, and want to read more!

 

    During my final year at university, I wrote and illustrated a children’s book about a guide dog and their handler learning to navigate a new and unfamiliar situation. This illustrated story was rooted in messages of teamwork and trust, and creating this book developed my love for narrative and visual storytelling. I am proud to have created a story that is both fun and educational, I look forward to taking on more projects like this in the future!
